ICARUS-II Conference Announcement

ICARUS is delighted to invite your participation in the second ICARUS meeting to be held at the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and Environment on May 5 through 8, 2011. ICARUS-II follows on the highly successful ICARUS-I meeting organized in February 2010 at the University of Illinois. The theme of the ICARUS-II meeting is "Vulnerability and Adaptation: Focus - Marginal Peoples and Environments."

Canada's International Development Research Center (IDRC), in partnership with IFAD, welcomes proposals for action research in Latin America to scale-up solutions that address rural poverty -- including innovations in agriculture and natural resources. Invited to apply are research institutions; universities; other academic institutions; NGOs; private organizations; and local associations. Eligible countries are Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, and Brazil (Northeast). The closing date for applications is on November 1, 2010.
