Welcome to the first Commons Digest of 2013!
In this issue we have three personal essays in honor of our founding president, Elinor Ostrom. Current IASC president Leticia Merino opens the issue with her reflections on how reading Lin’s work gave her hope – and highlights how our continued work on the commons honors Lin’s legacy.
An essay by Ganesh Shivakoti follows with his own description of his and Lin’s collaboration and experiences in Nepalese irrigation management as well as his view of her pioneering work.
